Pop-Up Store Concepts

For PR Events and collection launches during Fashion Week

In 2007 you still had to explain to people what a pop-up store was, nowadays it has become a fairly well-known concept how brands or companies can present themselves to their comsumers at a temporary retail location. Usually accompanied by festive opening events or drinks. It is a great way to launch your new collection or to find out if it is the right store location and if having an actual store is still a good plan. Eva Anna had two pop up stores in the passed, both were opened during Amsterdam fashion week.

Pop-Up Store, Berenstraat Amsterdam, 2007.

Eva Anna was the first designer with a pop-up store in Amsterdam. The first pop-up store was in an old cocktail bar in the "Negen Straatjes" in the heart of Amsterdam. Her new accessory collection 2007/2008 was presented in an original way on white cardboard moving boxes and in display cases. She named it the 'Movable Guerilla Store.'

Pop-Up Store Zeedijk Amsterdam, 2010.

The second Pop-Up store was mentioned in the Wallpaper city guide, the Grazia hotspot page and several other magazines. During Amsterdam Fashion Week 2010, more than 300 people visited the opening event, which was part of the official fashionweek Downtown program. This time Eva Anna offered other young emerging talented designers and artist to exhibit their newest works in a huge space in a vacant building at the Zeedijk Amsterdam.

Then there weren't many locations in Amsterdam where young talents could offer their work for sale. Art, design, fashion and all kinds of special objects were exhibited and for sale. Besides Eva Anna's own accessoiry collection was available aswell.

In an original way Eva Anna had painted geometric colored surfaces on the walls and floor and had developed all kinds of presentation displays of recycled materials. Every 3 months there was an opening drink to launch a new theme with new art and design pieces.
